We are currently looking for individuals willing to work as substitute drivers for our Summer Food Service Program.
Position
Summary:
The Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) Driver is required to pick up and drop off meals at assigned SFSP site locations throughout Erie and Crawford counties in a timely manner.
The SFSP Driver will work closely with other SFSP personnel (drivers, food vendor employees, IU5 staff, and site supervisors).
This is a temporary contracted position from mid-June to mid-August.
In addition, this position will be on an as needed basis.
Required
Qualifications:
High School diploma or GEDA valid Pennsylvania driver's license with a verifiable good driving recordMust be at least 18 years of ageEssential Functions and
Responsibilities:
Follow all state traffic laws and regulationsCounting, loading and unloading meals on delivery vehicle at designated pick up/drop off sitesDelivery of meals to assigned SFSP site locations, prompt and safelyEnsure the safety of food complying with state and local health and safety standards Account for the accuracy of delivered meals with site supervisorReturn vehicle to designated location and log mileage on designated formOrganization of gas/food receipts, timesheets, and any other paperwork requiredOther duties as assignedPerformance Factors/Job Competencies:
Strong time management skills and work ethicStrong interpersonal and communication skillsExcellent collaborative and people skills to interact with all SFSP personnelMust be flexible in tasks and routesWork Environment:
This job operates in indoor and outdoor public locations.
Incumbent must be able to sit in a vehicle and stand/lift for extended periods of time.
This role routinely drives a delivery vehicle and collaborates with other SFSP personnel.
This position requires traveling primarily within Erie and Crawford counties.
Candidates are required to have a valid driver's license to attend job related duties.
